You see, in batch washing plants, your rugs are thrown in a tub with others that may contain pet urine, biological or fungal issues, excessive dirt or oils, are bleeders, etc.

Impersonal batch washing allows an automated rug plant to clean many rugs at a time, and let’s face it folks; time is money. Another consideration for a plant to switch to automation is that they don’t need an experienced rug cleaning professional, all they need is someone who can press a “start” button.

At Oriental Rug Salon, all client’s rugs are washed one at a time, under the watchful eye of a certified-experienced rug cleaning professional. Every rug is bled tested for twenty-four hours, receives a thoroughly exhaustive dusting, and in most cases, the rug is fully submerged in the appropriate bath where it is hand washed on both sides, pH conditioned rinsed and dried in a controlled environment. In those cases where a rug requires a different method of cleaning or is too fragile for a full submersion bath, we will dry clean that textile.

Throughout the entire cleaning process, from the initial inspection, through the testing, dusting, washing and drying procedures, your area rug never leaves the watchful eye of a rug cleaning professional. We are able to make adjustments throughout the entire hand-washing process to ensure your area rug receives the cleanest clean possible. The same can’t be said if your area rug is subjected to the batch washing method.
