Odors, dust, dander, dust mites, and spills all love to stick to these fibers.  A thorough vacuuming weekly will help remove most loose soils but is ineffective in eliminating oils and embedded sand and spills such as coffee, tea, and even pet urine.

Before the cleaning process begins, each area rug is photographed and inspected with Xenon and high-intensity lighting to allow our professionals to see issues not available to the naked eye. We make a note of each rug’s fiber and dye type, document any preexisting damage such as dry rot, pet urine, dye migration, staining, and fiber loss or tear.  We also determine the best method to use to make sure your rug is cleaned in the safest and most effective manner possible.

At Oriental Rug Salon, each rug is bathed individually in a bath of cleaning solutions specific to your rug’s needs.  Our unique, organic enzymatic shampooing agents, coupled with deodorization and conditioning solutions, are used to wash your rug according to its type, age, thickness, country of origin, fiber count, and amount of staining. No two shampoo mixes will be the same, as we believe that no two rugs should be washed the same way. Each rug is unique and special, and the care we take in cleaning your rug reflects this.
