Baluch Area Rug Baluch rugs are woven by the nomadic Baluchi ethnic groups of Western Afghanistan and Eastern Iran. Dye Migration Due To Improper Spotting This embellishment is on a beautiful family heirloom rug that was “spot treated” by a carpet cleaning company in a client’s home.  Unfortunately, we see our fair share of rugs that have been damaged by non-certified or inexperienced carpet cleaners and it becomes our job to reverse the damage if at all possible. A Persian Cartoon (Stencil) of an Oriental Rug Design Many hand-tufted rugs use high-quality wool so the finished product looks and wears much like a hand-knotted rug. Unlike a hand-knotted rug, a hand-tufted rug is created without tying knots. Making a hand-tufted area rug takes a fraction of the time to make, therefore greatly reducing the cost.
