Our rug cleaning plant performs all cleanings by hand under the watchful eye of a rug master.  Unlike production plants that use automated batch washing equipment to wash many rugs at a time in a large washtub, our hands-on Persian approach allows each rug to receive the personalized care it deserves.  Our certified textile technicians are well versed in all rug types including Persian, Turkish, Bokhara, Kilim, Gabbeh, Balouchi, as well as wool and silk weaves and machine-made rugs.

Mistakes Rug Owners Make In Choosing An Area Rug Cleaning Company

Number 1 – Allowing a carpet cleaning company to clean your cherished area rug in the home.  We’ve seen dozens of instances where clients have allowed a carpet cleaning technician to wand their wool or silk area rug only to end up with disastrous results.  Dye migration, shrinkage, set stains, and fiber distortion will result if an area rug is not cleaned properly.

An area rug should never be cleaned in the home if you’re expecting “deep clean” results.  Furthermore, it is highly doubtful that the carpet cleaning technician can identify the type of area rug they are cleaning, let alone have the approved cleaning solutions, experience, and certification.

Number 2 – Allowing a batch washing plant to “clean” your area rug.  Batch washing plants use automated wash tubs that can “clean” up to a dozen rugs at a time.  Since these machines are operated at the punch of a button, there’s no need to have an experienced-certified technician available. The plant simply has to have a warm body that can load the machine and push the start button.

When batch washing, rugs that contain allergens or other hidden contaminants such as vomit, pet urine salts, athletes’ foot or other fungal issues can be washed with rugs that are antiques or require specialized attention.  These rug cleaning plants allege that batch washing allows rugs to “swim” together, which somehow is better than one-on-one personalized attention.  What these plants don’t tell you is that you will have to sign a waiver that relieves them from responsibility should your rug “bleed” or otherwise be harmed during this batch washing process.

Step 1: Pre-Inspection and Pick Up

Step 2:  Complete Inspection with Xenon lighting and photographic analysis

Step 3:  Full inspection report and documentation e-mailed to the client

Step 4:  24 Hour Dye Test  (*)

Step 5:  Dry Soil Removal

Step 6:  Spot Treatment and Pre-Conditioning

Step 7:  Fringe treatment

Step 8:  Submersion with agitation and hand wash with wool or silk safe allergen-free cleaning solutions

Step 9:  pH condition rinse using cool water and allergen-free rinsing agents

Step 10:  Second inspection

Step 11:  Controlled dry

Step 12:  Third Inspection

Step 13:  Finishing and resetting of the rugs natural nap

Step 14:  Post Inspection, wrapping, and delivery
